Beyond the Weekend - the 4th Day

Cursillo is more than just the "3 Day" Weekend.  In fact the real journey starts after the 3 Days, in your "4th Day", which is the rest of your life.  Do you want to keep alive the spirit, joy, and fervor of your weekend.  Then commit to living out the Piety-Study-Action tripod of your Service and Group Reunion sheets - this is the Cursillo Method, this is how we persevere!  Use the information and links on this page to access some tools to assist you in continuing on your faith pilgrimage.

To be on a Pilrimage

is to journey

through Christ to the

Father under the guidance

of the Holy Spirit, with

the help of Mary and all

of the saints as you

bring your brothers and sisters

along with you.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts

of us Your faithful and kindle in us

the fire of Your Love.  And You

shall renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray.

O God, who by the light of the

 Holy Spirit instructs the hearts

of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be

truly wise and ever rejoice

 in His consolations.

Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matt 5:43)

Lord, we come to You wounded and in pain; violence has been done to innocent brothers and sisters. Our country is in need of healing; of Your gentle touch, Your tender voice and compassionate heart, Help us to transform this pain of violence into new life.

Give us the strength and courage to live life vigorously again and to not be afraid of stranger or friend. Turn our despair into hope, our hate into love and our anger into joy.

Let us seek to be reconciled with those who have caused harm. Help us to forgive, as You forgave. Help us to love our enemies and pray for those who have persecuted others. Bring justice and peace to the lives of those who have done harm. Let them see Your face and feel the warmth of Your love.

Lord we pray for Your mercy and compassion, We live in troubled times, and the answers to our problems are not simple or easy. Send Your Spirit upon us to strengthen our resolve to root out the violence, hate, and fear in our lives. Replace it with Your forbearance and love. Create in us hearts of courage, grace us with the ability to stand against the violence of our day: the violence in ourselves, our homes, streets and communities. In your name we pray, Amen.
